Set up in 2009, Glendale Skytronics and Accessories (GSA) Ltd was created with the sole purpose of reducing costs in repairs and servicing to airlines and operators. By use of innovative thinking and minimising overheads GSA offer the best possible price and service whilst not compromising on quality, often allowing us to make serviceable parts other MRO’s may consider BER.

Prompt and efficient service is supplied direct by the engineering team, calls and enquiries in connection with customer parts in work are handled directly by the engineers completing the job so there is no delay through administration chains in getting replies.

Location

Situated in the same premises as Glendale International not only gives GSA access to stock, but also allows us to tap into their purchasing team, stores team, and shipping department without the overhead of additional employees. This makes GSA a completely productive unit, only paying for ancillary services as and when required, further assisting in a reduction of overhead whilst actually assisting in improving service.

The Team

GSA works a flat structure, with a single manager and inspection/engineering team below. With a combined engineering experience of over 105 years, the workshop enjoys a wealth of knowledge to draw from. Engineers are cross trained so manpower can be used across shops to meet with any influx of work or to cover any absentees, this way ensuring delays can be kept to a minimum without any additional cost to the customer.

Coverage

GSA’s capability and Quality Certificates are listed on this site. However we are always looking to work with Airlines and Operators in order to assist in expanding our capability. In return we offer such customers a further reduction in the costs of their repairs a real ‘Win : Win’ situation.

Charges

We do not seek out pricing on the components we repair in order to charge a percentage of the list price, and prefer to offer time and materials quotation on inspection. Therefore we will normally only offer fixed price on specific unit types or as part of a larger agreement. We believe to offer a fair fixed price you need the volume to take ‘the rough with the smooth’ and give a price which will be as close to a true average as possible. In our experience fixed prices offered by some MRO’s on ‘one off’ repairs would far exceed a time and material quotation post inspection, this is simply because workshops have no option to reclaim the costs of an expensive repair on future repairs.
